"There are some magical moments as a perfumer when a scent just begs to be born. And so it was with Halo. I had been contemplating for months the concept of what it is to be salt and light in the world; what it feels like to be that joy, and the impact on those who cross the paths of such open-hearted souls.
It was one mid-October evening in 2023 that I felt it coming - the whole story being birthed right at that moment. And so I sat in my fragrance workshop in the darkness, guided entirely by instinct as I selected carefully each material. I so badly didn't want to write anything down - it was very much poetry in motion and I didn't want anything to stop it. So I took verbal notes and worked in drops rather than measuring anything. I knew when to stop. And suddenly there she was; the whole entire story. Perfectly formed as if blooming inside me the whole time."
