YOUR FAQ
Q: If I signed up to the last waitlist, will I automatically be on the next one, or do I have to sign up again?
A: No, you won't be automatically signed up to the next wait list. We treat each season's waitlist as a separate list, so if you are keen to purchase in the next round, you will need to sign up each time. Keep in mind that we produce a certain number of bottles according to waitlist numbers, so it's important you sign up so you don't miss out!
Q: How often will I be receiving emails and updates from ONE SEED in the off-season?
A: In the off-season, we will be in touch 1-2 times per month. make sure you have signed up to our emails to you don't miss out on any news!
Q: I used to love your Laundrette home fragrance collection - can I still purchase that somewhere?
A: Yes, you can! We relaunched Laundrette as its own brand back in October 2025. You can purchase all of your Laundrette favourites, plus a couple of extras at the Laundrette website here.
Q: I missed your last drop - can I buy your perfumes in the off-season?
A: Unfortunately not. We have a strict policy around this, both to protect our priority of rest, and also to respect the waitlist. You will only be able to purchase ONE SEED in March and October. (Note that we no longer have outside retailers, so you will need to sign up for the waitlist to purchase your favourite ONE SEED perfumes).
Q: I loved my custom Scent Bar perfume from ONE SEED. Will you be offering Scent Bar again?
A: Yes, we will be offering Scent Bar very soon, but not as part of the ONE SEED lineup. Scent Bar will be operating as its own separate brand, under the Liz Cook website. Custom perfumes will be offered in very small numbers, under the same philosophy- prioritising rest and a slower, more purposeful approach to life.
Q: Will you be launching more scents in the future?
A: At this stage, we are focusing on our four best-sellers as our key ongoing fragrances. However, we are planning to add a limited edition fragrance once a year. This fragrance will be available on a secret list, and not to the general public, only to those who have purchased in the previous season.
Q: I purchased in the last drop; how long until my order is delivered?
A: Delivery of your order is 2-4 weeks from the end of the open season. Please refer to your follow up email for a more accurate date of delivery. You will also receive notification and a tracking number once your order is ready to be dispatched.
Q: What do you do in the 6 months between seasons?
A: Once orders are processed and dispatched (which takes 2-4 weeks after the season closes), my priority in the off-season is to find space and time for rest and connection. This means slow mornings, slow baking, cook-ups with my favourite people, farmers markets, walks on the beach with friends, time in the forest (ideally foraging for wild mushrooms!), on the ocean, and anywhere I can connect with nature. Renewal for me happens with the people and places I love, in my relationship with God, in journalling, and in serving in my local community. Mostly it happens in the quiet.
I have realised how critical frequent rest and renewal is. I have spent 25 years of my life in business, and it's been very satisfying, rewarding and exciting on many levels, but too busy and too fast. This new season of ONE SEED allows me to do the things I love with business and scent and creativity, and connect with people like you , but also take time to remember how short and precious life is. It's honestly the best of both worlds.
Q: Is it actually possible to run a business that prioritises rest? Can you teach me?!
A: Yes, it is definitely possible, but it takes a radical overhaul of your thinking, your priorities and your approach to life. And a death-stare in the face of the things you fear. But it is possible. I can't teach you - I'm still learning it myself! But I can absolutely encourage you to take time to consider your world, and decide what is most important. My favourite quote on this subject is: "The things that matter most should never be at the mercy of things that matter least." (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
